If ghar ka khaana was an emotion, then Nimrat Kaur sure knows how to tug on our heart strings. On a trip back home to Noida – where the cold winters call for hearty and comforting meals, Nimrat shared a picture of a serving of homemade rajma-chawal that she posted with emojis signifying tears of joy – possibly the only kind of gratitude one can feel when eating such a meal. Currently spending some down time with her family and friends, the group embarked on a road trip which kickstarted with a hearty breakfast of aloo parathas and lime pickle.

The paratha, studded with onions and topped off with a dollop of butter, looked delicious enough for us to want to reach into the screen and take a bite! Big on getting a true experience of the hinterland, Nimrat also posted her ‘kullad’ favourites – starting off with freshly set, thick yoghurt in an earthen cup which preceded a steaming cup of tea served in a mud glass. Captioning the picture of the aloo parathas, Nimrat said, “When life gives you lemons, make nimbu da achaar and have it with aloo da parontha!” Adding it to our list of essential life lessons!
