The reach of the internet has made social media the biggest platform for common people to express their views and display their talents. Even the food industry is not far away from this; many chefs and street vendors use social media as a medium to exhibit their unique recipes and culinary skills. These posts help them get plenty of views and attention from users. A video of a Nagpur street vendor serving giant pani puris recently went viral. Here is the video. Take a look:
Pani puri, also known as golgappa, puchka, batashe, and gup-chup, is one of the most loved street foods that is enjoyed all over the country. Being a variety of chaat, this spicy and flavourful delight basically consists of a crispy, hollow ball that is filled with a savoury mix of potato, chickpeas, onion, and spices. Pani puri is commonly served with tamarind or mint-flavoured water. In this video, you can see the vendor making a giant pani puri with six varieties of flavoured water and a tall heap of spicy potato mix.
He begins the process by filling a large puri with flavourful varieties of pani consisting of mango, ginger, garlic, cumin, and mint. Then the potato mix is placed on top of the puri like a huge tower, followed by a topping of curd, boondi, and sev. Usually, pani puri is enjoyed in one bite, but it is impossible to do so with this giant one.
The vendor has been in the news multiple times for his unique pani puri. He also holds a contest where he offers Rs. 1100, a trophy and a medal to anyone who can finish the pani puri in one go without spilling anything. Though this seems impossible, some people have won the challenge. One of the winners were two brothers Sanket and Sagar who are famous YouTubers and run a channel named @Wake’N’Bite.
The name of his stall is Chirag Ka Chaska, and it is located at Pratap Nagar in Nagpur. The video was posted by the account @khate_raho_dilse and has gotten more than 107k likes. The people in the comment section have mixed reactions; some of them are eager to try it out, while the rest are scared of this giant pani puri. So, if you happen to be in the city of Nagpur right now, visit this spot and grab a bite of this bahubali pani puri with your friends.
