La Loca Maria opened in the bustling neighborhood of Pali Hill, Bandra in 2019. Helmed by Spanish Chef Manuel Olveira and his Indian wife, Pratima (Mickee) Tuljapurkar, La Loca Maria marries global flavours with local warmth. The restaurant’s name, meaning “The Crazy Maria,” pays tribute to Chef Manuel Olveira’s mother, whose passion for food inspired his journey into the culinary arts.

The 75-seater space which made it to the Condé Nast Traveller x Zomato Top Restaurant Awards list of 50 best restaurants in India, draws inspiration from Chef Manuel’s hometown, the UNESCO heritage city of Toledo in Spain. The restaurant’s earthy colour palette evokes the charm of an old Spanish town. A striking art deco chandelier illuminates the central dome, while hand-painted murals celebrate Spanish culture, setting the tone for a dining experience that’s both sophisticated and inviting.
