The Entrance Of The Café

Mud Café was born out of a passion for blending food with art and music. Debabrata Biswas, a Bengali cultural icon, lived at this café between Gariahat and Rashbihari Avenue. The proprietors, Arnab and Ananya Mitra, love cuisine, ceramics, and Debabrata's singing, so they created this café that seems like her home.

Opened in March 2014, the café has now completed ten successful years, becoming a beloved cultural and culinary hub in Kolkata.

Inside The Café

Being a Rabindrasangeet artist, it’s my duty to pay tribute to one of the finest Rabindrasangeet artists ever. Hence, Mud Café!” Once you are there, the beautiful interior with a red cemented floor (Bengalis adorably call it laal mejhe) with the traditional Bengali interior is sure to melt your heart.
