Celebrated cricketer MS Dhoni, who has enjoyed love from the masses for his unmatched captaincy, recently savoured the victory of the fifth IPL Championship trophy he bagged on behalf of Chennai Super Kings. The team captain, who has been known for his dedication to winning accolades celebrated the joy of his recent achievement by cutting two cakes – a chocolate cake and a buttercream one, with his gym buddies in Ranchi, where he is currently spending time with his family.
Dressed down in a white sports jacket and a pair of yellow shorts, the star captain appeared to be in a jovial mood as he was surrounded by his friends, while he cut the cake and took a bite – as they clapped in appreciation. The video shared on social media showed him playfully taking a jibe at those present as he said, “Hum khilayenge. Kaun kaun khaa raha hai aur kaun kaun dieting pe hai, vo batao.” (I will serve. Who is ready to eat and who is on a diet, let me know.)

The fifth championship trophy he bagged for CSK puts them in an equal position with their co-contenders in the IPL – Mumbai Indians. The 41-year-old skipper returned to reclaim his position as captain for the team, taking over mid-season from former CSK captain, Ravindra Jadeja. Dhoni, who was struggling with a knee injury at the time he took over captaincy duties, saw the team to its victory at the tournament finals, ensuring that he was present for every single match. Referred to fondly as ‘thala’ or leader, by his Chennai fans, Dhoni has been one of the most lauded captains in the history of Indian cricket. The taste of victory surely seems to be sweet (and loaded with chocolate) indeed!
