With 3.6 million followers on Instagram, Mira Kapoor has become quite a sensation in the online world. Not just the wife of actor Shahid Kapoor, Mira has managed to carve an identity for herself on social media. She’s pretty active in sharing her daily incidents, makeup routines, outfits of the day and her quick bites. After her long girls trip to Dubai with her best friends, Mira Kapoor has made it even more clear that she is a true foodie at heart. The young mom of two has been managing her kids and family with as much vigour as her social media trends. The self-confessed foodie went all out when she dined in the sky in Dubai or gorged on a lavish afternoon tea in Burj Khalifa.

Now that the lady is back in town after her vacation, we bet she was missing her homemade desi food. Otherwise why would she be eating that aloo ka paratha and then acting all proper. She recently took to her Instagram stories to share how she ate an aloo ka paratha (potato-stuffed flatbread) and left no trace of her indulgence after that. She was seen posing for the camera while looking away, in a blue and white dress with her hair done back. She looks all prim and “proper” at this point and no one will be able to guess that she had an aloo ka paratha just before this shot. How do we know this? She captioned it saying, “Being all proper after eating aloo paratha”. Here, take a look.

This has made us also indulge in our guilty pleasure, parathas. Since it’s already time for breakfast, why not try these parathas at home today? Here are a few recipes that you can try.

1.  Methi Aloo Paratha

Who says that you just have to have aloo ka paratha? You can spruce it up with your favourite ingredients and we’ve got methi this time. Fenugreek leaves aka methi are one of the healthy greens that most people detest to eat otherwise. However, when mixed with the humble potato and mashed into a stuffing for a paratha, there’s hardly anyone who’ll be able to refuse it.

2.  Onion Paneer Paratha

If you’re a paneer fan, we bet you will like this. Paneer or cottage cheese is crumbled and mixed with chopped onions, coriander leaves and a few spices. You can add turmeric for the yellow colour if you like. Mix it all well and stuff it into the dough. Roll it out and toss on a tawa. Serve with dollops of butter.

3.  Gobhi Paratha

Cauliflower or gobhi is broken into florets and then these are grated. The finely-grated cauliflower is mixed with jeera, red chilli powder, salt and some other spices. You can add coriander leaves to give it some freshness if you like. Finally, roll it with a rolling pin and make it crispy on both sides. Serve with fresh yoghurt.
