There are versions of history that credit the Paris Ritz's bartender and cocktail writer Frank Meier for making the mimosa cocktail for the first time. However, Meier's 1934 book on mixing drinks has a special symbol for his inventions, the cocktails that he himself mixed and made. And interestingly, the book does not use the symbol for the mimosa, making it rather unclear if he actually invented mimosas or it's just hearsay.
Just like any other classic cocktail, the mimosa has different variations according to the taste of people. the lovers of cocktails have mixed and matched several things to make out equally delicious variations of the cocktail.
