You can skip this step if your lentils have already been washed. Soak the lentils for 6 to 8 hours or overnight in adequate water. After the lentils have been soaked, combine them with the same water in a blender jar to produce a smooth flowing batter. Transfer the batter to a mixing bowl, season with salt and seasonings if desired, and thoroughly combine. Set aside this batter. Heat a tawa or a nonstick pan, once it is hot, brush ghee or oil onto it. Take a ladle full of batter and pour it onto the hot pan. With the back of the ladle spread the batter outwards evenly. Add a few drops of the oil on the edges, once the edges turn a little brown, slowly flip the wrap and let it cook for another couple of minutes on another side also. Repeat the same process with the rest of the batter. Enjoy these wraps with your favorite dip, chutney or pickle. These vegan, gluten-free masoor dal wraps are hearty enough for any meal.
