The foodie Malaika prefers eating homemade food to eating out. She’s shown us several comfort foods that she enjoys eating at home, including varan bhaat, kadhi chawal, rajma chawal, achaar, papad, and much more. She is a total desi foodie, with a spark to try new and different things all the time.

Most of the credit for her fitness though, goes to her healthy and fit diet. Recently, Malaika shared a picture of her healthy snack. What was in it? She was devouring a bowl of porridge. She added a filter to the image that said, "Love" and she captioned it, "Vegan millet porridge". The porridge looked super healthy and grainy, and this isn’t the first time that Malaika has shared her healthy eating habits with us.

A great source of protein, fibre and several vitamins and minerals, millets are a super-food that can easily included in one's diet in the form of porrdige, as a flour for rotis and parathas and even for desserts. The healthy grain is suitable for those trying to lose weight as it keeps one full for longer as well as for protecting heart health and preventing inflammation.

In the salad, one could also spot cucumbers and arugula leaves, boosting the nutritional value of the bowl.
