Malaika was busy cooking a spicy “cacio e pepe”. Wondering what it is? An Italian pasta dish, cacio e pepe literally translates to ‘cheese and pepper', and is like a stripped-down dish of mac and cheese. It is an iconic dish from Rome, and while it is definitely not as well-known as other Roman classics, like spaghetti alla carbonara, it is definitely cheesy indulgence at its finest. Do you know the best part? Cacio e pepe doesn’t need a long list of ingredients. The traditional base for this sauce uses just two ingredients - black pepper and cheese. 

In the video she shared, Malaika can be seen documenting a couple of steps from the recipe. In one of them, we can spot her adding a handful of cheese on spaghetti. “Need that cheese”, she wrote in the Boomerang video. The final dish is definitely drool-worthy. Take a look:
