The authentic flavours are oozing from her plate which consists of some coated and fried fish, shrimps, a watery curry, a thick sauce, some stir-fried vegetables and rice to go with it. In one of the bowls, we can see a yellow-coloured dish which seems to be a custard-like dessert with fruits. Now that Malaika has transported us to Goa with her delectable spread, we can’t be just drooling over it.

Here are some traditional Goan recipes that you can make at home.

1.  Goan Vindaloo

An authentic Goan dish which originates from the time of Portuguese, the vindaloo is a hot and fiery mix of vegetables and meat. Usually pork is paired with the potatoes and onions for the vindaloo, but you can add chicken or lamb meat too. Pair it with rice or pao and enjoy.

2.  Goan Fish Curry

Seafood is the staple food of Goans. The locals love eating everything, from prawns to shrimps and crabs. You also find a variety of fish delicacies on their menu. This fish curry is spruced up with the use of raw mangoes which gives the dish a distinct tanginess.

3.  Goan Bebinca

A three-layered cake which is spongy and soft, the bebinca is a traditional dish from the beachy region. This is made from coconut milk, eggs, sugar, vanilla essence and a host of other ingredients.
