One of the fittest celebrities in Bollywood, Malaika Arora is a stunner when it comes to fashion and fitness. What’s more? She is also a self-confessed foodie. The diva likes to try out new cuisines every time she travels abroad, and never forgets to share glimpses of her nibbles with fans and followers of social media. Currently, the 48-year-old is vacationing in Georgia, and we’re quite intrigued by the delicacies that she’s having.
Malaika took to her Instagram stories to keep all her followers in the loop about her Georgian adventures. Of course, we knew there was food coming up sometime soon and we couldn’t wait to glance through the spread. Finally, she posted pictures of her breakfast one morning and we were tempted. She started with some freshly-cut watermelons and they looked very refreshing. Next up, we saw a strawberry drink on her table. Seems like Malaika tried to save the best one for the last as she showed us a cheesy delight.

Known as Khachapuri, it’s a Georgian-style cheese-filled bread that is often eaten for breakfast. Made up of two words, khacha meaning cheese curds and puri referring to bread, Malaika posted a glimpse of the same and wrote, “When in Georgia, Khachapuri is a must”. The traditional dish is made with leavened bread that is stuffed with all kinds of cheese in the centre, along with eggs and other ingredients.
There is also a certain way in which the dish is eaten. So the boat-shaped bread is first broken off from the edges. The piece of bread is dipped in the centre, covering it with cheese and egg yolk. This is then repeated till the bread is finished.
Fun Fact: this Georgian bread is considered one of the fattiest foods in the world. While we know Malaika goes all out when she’s on vacation, this time, we surely know that she isn’t counting calories.
Back home, the fashion and fitness icon usually indulges in simple and comforting meals consisting of vegetables, lentils, rice and roti. She even likes sattvic meals, as we saw her on a spiritual trip to the Himalayas with her mother and sister earlier this year.
