Malaika Arora is one celebrity who never misses the chance to share her daily nibbles on social media. Her stories and posts are full of shoot scenes and her foodie adventures. Caught with a hot and fiery Maharashtrian condiment, Malaika posted a picture of it in her Instagram stories recently. The chutney is called Thecha, and as described by the fashion and fitness icon, it is ‘not for the faint-hearted’.

For the unversed, Thecha is a hot and spicy Maharashtrian chutney made with green chillies, garlic, peanuts, and coriander. The coarsely pounded mix is a fiery affair and often served alongside dishes like thalipeeth and bhakri in traditional Maharashtrian homes. This spicy condiment is a hit in the regional fare and loved by one and all. Seems like Malaika is a fan of it too.

However, this isn’t the first time we’ve seen the actor digging into regional food. The actor has been a lover of all kinds of Indian cuisines. This one time, she expressed that her favourite food is her mom’s appam and stew. Next, we saw her indulging in a Goan fish thali during a vacation. Later, we saw her on a detox trip in the Himalayas with her mother and sister, Amrita Arora, and the three enjoyed Satvik meals throughout their stay.

When in the foreign land, Malaika never skips a chance to devour the popular local food there. Be it Georgia or Italy or regional Indian cuisines, she has tried them all. In an earlier Instagram story, she was treated to an authentic Sindhi lunch by her friend. It consisted of koki, Sindhi tidli dal, dal pakwan and chutney.
