Ingredients-
• Heavy whipped cream
• Sweetened condensed milk
• Vanilla extract
• Maria biscuits
• Chocolate shavings, strawberries, and fresh mint are optional garnishes.
Method-
You will only these three simple steps to make Serradura.
Step 01: Make a fine powder out of the Maria Biscuits.
Step 02: Prepare the Sweetened Creamy Layer
Whip together the condensed milk, cream, and vanilla extract until the texture is frothy. Whipping the cream with a hand mixer is significantly easier.
However, don't overwhip the mixture or you'll wind up with sweetened butter.
Step 03: Put the Layers Together
Layer the whipped cream mixture in individual glasses. Place the cream in a piping bag and squeeze for a neater finish.
If you don't have a piping bag, put the cream into a plastic bag, cut one tip-off, and spread it out.
Place the second layer of crushed Maria biscuit powder, being careful not to make it too thick.
Alternate between cream and crushed biscuit powder for another 5-7 layers, depending on the size of your dessert bowls.
Finish with a cream layer, followed by a final coating of crushed Marie biscuit powder. Cover with plastic wrap and place in the refrigerator for 2-3 hours, though overnight is preferable.
Remove from the refrigerator 15 minutes before serving and garnish as desired. Strawberry slices and mint are both delicious and refreshing options.
