When it is time to feed greens to your kid, you’ll surely face some trouble. Greens might not be a kid’s best friend but you can always twist the recipe to sneak in the greens in their diet. Palak paneer is one such dish. The popularity of paneer in India is quite evident through the numerous dishes that are prepared with this cheese. From paneer butter masala to paneer lababdaar, there is hardly any gravy that can’t be amped up with paneer. So is the palak and paneer combination.
Palak, aka spinach, is a rich and nutritious green vegetable that is good for one’s health. Not only is palak good for eye health, it is also a great immunity booster and keeps one hydrated too. Pair this with paneer or cottage cheese and dig into a mouth-watering gravy for lunch. The paneer cubes are diced and added to the blanched palak gravy and eaten with chapattis.

Palak Paneer
Ingredients:
• 2 tbsp oil
• 1 cup diced paneer
• 1 tbsp cumin seeds
• 1 tsp chopped garlic
• 1 tsp chopped ginger
• 1 tbsp chopped green chilli
• 1/2 cup chopped onion
• 1 cup palak puree
• Salt to taste
• 1/2 cup water
• 2 tbsp butter
• Fresh cream
• Ginger julienne

Method:
1. Start by diced paneer into small cubes.
2. Drizzle oil in a pan and add the paneer cubes to it. Fry them a little and take them out.
3. Then, take another pan and drizzle some oil. To this, add chopped onions, ginger and garlic.
4. Add some cumin seeds and chopped green chillies to this and toss it all together.
5. Then add in your blanched palak puree to the pan. Mix well.
6. Throw in the lightly-fried paneer cubes and combine it well. Add salt to taste.
7. Finally, pour the paneer and palak gravy in a bowl and garnish with some fresh cream.
