You need to know what sweets you should eat during Diwali not to spoil your health. First, you must be aware that sweets have the maximum calories; hence you should find an alternative. This year, you can celebrate the festival of lights while eating some low-calorie sweets that will control your body's weight and sugar level. Usually, a person needs 600-1200 calories in a day, but your calories increase by repeatedly eating sweets at festivals like Diwali. Therefore, this year you should eat and gift low-calorie sweetness to your loved ones so that they remain healthy.

Here are some of the low-calorie sweet alternatives for you.

Sugar-free sweets

People distribute delectable sweets like coconut, besan laddoo, dry fruits and kaju katli during Diwali. However, while everyone is merrymaking, diabetics have to be more careful about their sweet consumption. Therefore, you can gift sugar-free desserts as they are substituted with natural sweeteners such as dates and jaggery. You can also present sugar-free candies as they are also low in calories and do not increase weight.

Rasgulla instead of gulab jamun

A piece of gulab jamun contains about 190 calories, whereas rasgullas contain only 75 calories. This is because rasgulla, made of cottage cheese, gives you some calcium and protein. So whenever you buy sweets for Diwali, gift rasgullas instead of gulab jamuns as they are pretty low in calories.

Dark chocolate

Dark chocolate is an antioxidant, and a hundred grams contains 70-85% cocoa. Apart from this, there are 11 grams of fibre, iron, magnesium, copper, manganese, potassium, phosphorus, zinc and selenium, which are beneficial for your health.

Roasted chikki instead of jalebi

This year on Diwali, you should gift roasted chikki rather than jalebi or imarti. Chikki is made from roasted jaggery and hence is very beneficial for health. However, consuming this will neither boost your sugar levels nor your weight.
