Raisins come in a variety of types, each with its own distinct flavour, colour, and culinary uses. From the commonly used black raisins to the black Munakkas there's a type of raisin to suit every taste and recipe. Each variety also has a different drying technique. For example, the Sultanas or golden raisins are made from seedless green grapes, Monukkas ade from Monukka grapes, which are large and seedless and green raisins are made from green grapes, often dried in the shade to retain their colour.
