Ingredients
- 2 1/2 Tbsp ghee
- 1 cup semolina, soaked
- 50 gms gud (soaked in 1 cup water)
- 1/2 tsp cardamom powder
- A pinch of saffron
- 50 gms pistachio, sliced
- 50 gms almonds, sliced
- 4 tbsp shakkar / brown sugar
Method
- Semolina should be soaked for 20 minutes.
- In a heavy-bottomed container with hot ghee, add the semolina and toast it until it turns golden.
- As soon as the halwa reaches the proper consistency, add the jaggery water, cardamom powder, saffron, green pista, almonds, and brown sugar.
- Stir continuously.
- Serve warm.
