It is the time of social media influencers and YouTubers. They are the content creators who we watch on our mobile screens every day and absolutely love! Lilly Singh is inarguably one of the biggest faces of the lot on the Internet today. Not only did she rose to fame with her viral videos on Indian parents abroad, the 32-year-old also bagged her very own talk show 'A Little Late With Lilly Singh' in 2019, where she interviewed a string of popular Hollywood celebrities, becoming the first person of Indian or South Asian descent to do so. Lilly is definitely a sensation now, as Forbes also named her one of the 40 most powerful people in comedy in the year 2019. Isn’t that amazing?

But do you know that Lilly, who is currently busy judging the latest season of Canada's Got Talent, is a desi foodie at heart? Just recently Lilly rang in Diwali by eating a whole box of jalebis – the classic Indian sweet. Now in her latest indulgence, Lilly was spotted noshing upon a desi meal for lunch. Taking to her Instagram Stories, Lilly shared a video of herself indulging in a complete meal of piping hot parathas paired with what seemed to be a sabzi of aloo-gobhi. There was also a bowl of curd on the side. In the video, Lilly takes a bite of paratha, smears it in the sabzi, followed by curd in the same bite, and gobble it down with a wide smile on her face. “When mom is in town..” Lilly wrote along with a heart in the eyes emoji. Clearly Lilly is having the best of Indian food at home thanks to her mother who perhaps came visiting. Afterall, there’s nothing better than ‘Maa ke hath ka khana’ for Indians, isn’t it? No matter which part of the world an Indian is living, desi food simply makes his heart melt. And if Lilly’s mom-made treat has made you crave some too, here’s a recipe of aloo-gobhi right here. Best part? You can pair it with parathas or stuff it in parathas as well.
