Ingredients-
- 1 cup daliya ( broken wheat)
- 3 cup water
- 4 tablespoon ghee
- Half cup jaggery
- Dry fruits ( Kaju, kishmish, badam)
- Cardamom powder
- Kesar
Steps in the making-
- Take a pressure cooker and add two tablespoons of ghee, and broken wheat into it. Roast them together.
- Then add some water and cook all the ingredients on medium until you hear at least 4-5 whistles.
- Once cooked, add half a cup jaggery and some more water according to consistency.
- Now take a pan and heat it with ghee by adding the remaining ghee. Add all the dry fruits and roast them for a while on a low-medium flame until it turns brown-golden.
- Also, add cardamom powder and kesar in the pressure cooker and the roasted dry fruits for the extra flavour. Cook for about 10-15 minutes more.
- There you go! Lapsi is ready to serve warm and relish.
