Lahsuni Methi

 Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp peanuts 
  • 1 tbsp white sesame 
  • 1 tbsp besan 
  • Water as required 
  • ¼ cup gingelly oil 
  • 10 garlic cloves (whole) 
  • 1 cup methi (chopped) 
  • ½ tsp hing 
  • ½ tsp cumin seeds 
  • ½ turmeric powder 
  • ½ tsp garam masala 
  • 2 tsp chili powder 
  • Salt to taste 
  • 7 to 8 garlic cloves (chopped) 
  • 2 onions (chopped) 
  • 2 tomatoes (chopped) 

Method 

  • Start by grinding some roasted peanuts and sesame seeds. Also, add besan and water and form a smoother paste. 
  • Heat a pan and add oil. Add whole garlic cloves, hing, chopped methi, and mix well. 
  • Cook until the methi shrinks. When done, remove and keep it aside.  
  • Heat the same pan and add oil. Add cumin and let it splutter. 
  • Add chopped garlic, and onion and sauté until the onions turn golden brown.  
  • When cooked properly, add the ground paste with water. Let it cook for 4 to 5 minutes. 
  • Add garam masala and sautéed methi. 
  • Let it cook until the oil separates and serve!
