The girl-next-door with a true Dilli wali vibe, Kriti Sanon is all smiles and joy to look at. The chirpy and bubbly girl went on from being an engineer to one of the most well-known actresses in Bollywood. While she debuted in acting with a Telugu thriller, her first Bollywood performance got her a lot of recognition and fame. Ever since then, there has been no looking back. She’s worked with several established actors and earned her place in the film industry. Being a Delhiite, you cannot expect this girl to not be a hard-core foodie. The Heropanti actress is a true Punjabi at heart and the sight of butter chicken makes her heart drool, as expressed in an interview with a news agency.

Even during the lockdown, we remember how she was making us crave all the delicious things, from a gooey chocolate tart to tangy golgappas she made at home. Currently, she’s shooting in the scenic valley of Leh, surrounded by mountains on all sides. While her road trip was major goals, it was her food spread that caught our attention. In a collage of multiple pictures posted by her friend on social media, Kriti Sanon reposted the story on her handle too. Seems like the Bareilly Ki Barfi actress is in for a treat as she gorges on a range of Tibetan delicacies from Leh.

In the collage, we could spot a plateful of momos or dimsums with a fiery red chutney. We also spot another plate of momos in the corner which is oozing chocolate sauce, so we’re assuming she tried chocolate momos too. There’s a bowl full of what looks like soup to us, with loads of vegetables like carrots, capsicum and beans as well as chicken chunks. We’re guessing this was thupka. There’s also a half-eaten bread stuffed with a filling in one of the pictures. Next up, we see a photo of yellow rice, topped with sliced bell peppers and a drink on the side. Adjacent to this is a plate of biscuits or cooks with black sesame seeds on top.

This wholesome Tibetan meal by Kriti Sanon is nothing short of temptation. Are you also craving all these things now? Here are some authentic Tibetan delicacies that you should try.

1.  Tibetan Tingmo

A soft, moist and fluffy bread that will make you fall in love with it is this Tingmo bun. It is a traditional Tibetan bun-like bread that is usually paired with creamy or spicy curries. This is also commonly eaten in north-eastern states like Sikkim.

2.  Tibetan Thupka

A rich and filling stew made from chicken broth, thupka is a hearty bowl of soup that is stuffed with egg noodles, vegetables and meat. The huge portion and nutritious elements of this soup is what makes it so unique. From breakfast to dinner, thupka can be slurped at any time of the day.

3.  Tibetan Laphing

Did you know about this unique dish? It is also easily available in Delhi’s Majnu Ka Tilla, which is a small Tibetan colony in the city. Made with corn flour, the sheets of laphing or laping are usually rolled into flat rounds which are stuffed with chilli paste, minced garlic, soy sauce, roasted peanuts are more. This is then rolled and cut into small pieces.
