But do not worry, if you are also facing a problem in cleaning that expensive ceramic cookware, here are a few ways to make them look new again.

1. Let It Cool Before Cleaning

Before washing a ceramic cooking pot, you need to bring it to room temperature. Washing hot pans and pots can affect its material and reduce the lifespan of your cookware. It is always recommended to avoid drastic change in the temperature to prolong the life of non-stick ceramic coating.

2. Baking Soda At The Rescue

To reduce the risk of burnt cookware, always coat your pan with cooking spray, butter or any oil before cooking. But if the damage is already done, you can sprinkle about two tablespoons of dry baking soda on the burnt surface and scrub it in a circular motion with a damp sponge. But do not use any abrasive cleaning pads. The mixture of baking soda and warm water is also good for removing stains from the bottom of the pan.

3. White Vinegar

Just like baking soda, vinegar is also effective in removing tough stains from ceramic wares. Make a solution of vinegar and water in the ratio of 1:4 and pour the mixture on the pan. Soak it overnight, making sure that the entire stained area is covered and rinse it with water in the morning.

4. Hydrogen Peroxide

Hydrogen Peroxide is a cleaning agent that is known to remove tough stains from ceramic cookware due to its bleaching affect. This can be purchased from any pharmacy or drug store. Just coat the stained surface with hydrogen peroxide and let it sit for half an hour. Then rinse it and dry it with a soft cloth.

5. Never Scrape Off With Metal

We often tend to scrape off the stains from a pan with a spoon or a knife. But using metal utensils for the same reason can damage the coating of the ceramic cookware. You can choose any of the above-mentioned methods or use wooden spoons for scraping off the stains.

Remember, ceramic utensils cannot be cleaned like other utensils as this could permanently damage the pans and pots, ruining the expensive cookware and kitchen sets that you have invested in.
