As India celebrated Virat Kohli’s 49th ODI century on his birthday, actor Kartik Aaryan took the spirit of the double celebration up a notch by digging into some delicious red velvet cake. Dressed down in a simple white T-shirt, blue jeans and a cap, Kartik appeared to be delighted to pose with a full cake at one of Pune’s institutions – German Bakery. The actor attributed Kohli’s latest achievement as a way of giving in to this guilty pleasure and captioned the photograph saying, “Virat ki century ho to cheating to banti hai.”

Kartik posed against a backdrop of the bakery shelves that were stacked with jars of cookies, tarts and cakes as he waited to take a bite, holding a spoon in his right hand. Fans of the actor shared his excitement about Kohli’s cricket milestone and seconded his feelings in the comments. The actor, whose love for cake isn’t a new revelation, has seen a range of adventures from celebrating his own birthday with two cakes to baking one for his sister’s birthday during the COVID-19 pandemic.
