Any festival in India is incomplete without a spread of delicious food. And it seems like Karisma Kapoor agrees to that. As the country gears up for another round of celebrations, the actor seems to be in high spirits. Karisma is a die-hard foodie just like all other Kapoors of Bollywood, and she was recently seen welcoming the festive season with some yummy treats.

Karisma took to her Instagram stories to share glimpses of her ‘family time’, and we found it extremely delightful. The actor was lunching with her Kapoor khandaan on Sunday, and no points for guessing that the day was filled with lots of delectable food. The desi spread comprised palak paneer, kadhi, mixed vegetables, and yellow dal. There was also aloo ki sabzi and some assorted breads to go with the curries.

There was a decadent cake for dessert and everything looked lip-smacking. She wrote, “Getting into the Diwali spirit #familytime”, on her story. However, this isn’t the first time we’ve seen her indulging in good food. We remember when Karisma came back from her month-long vacation, she treated herself to a hearty mutton biryani with her family at a get together. In fact, a while ago, Karisma was seen lunching with her sibling, Kareena Kapoor Khan and friend, Rujuta Diwekar too.

Their humble lunch menu had all things desi - from jhunka and ambadi bhaji to many other Maharashtrian curries and sabzis. One could also spot solkadhi, the soothing summer drink from the region. The authentic Maharashtrian spread made the actors and their friend’s heart and face smile. During festivals, Karisma never gives up on the idea of yummy food, especially sweets.

We saw her digging into a bowl of kheer at the Ganpati celebrations with her family this year. Karisma also loves kadhi chawal, which she considers her comfort food.
