In what seems to be the biggest off-screen casting coup of sorts, an all-ladies dinner was hosted by Shabana Azmi, at the newly-launched Indian Accent in Mumbai, located at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre. In attendance at this star-studded dinner were actresses like Vidya Balan, Karisma Kapoor, Konkona Sen Sharma, Divya Dutta, Richa Chadha, Dia Mirza, Tanvi Azmi, Sandhya Mridul, Sahana Goswami and Tannishtha Chatterjee.

Conceptualized by Rohit Khattar when it first opened in Delhi, offering an innovative Indian fare, it is a no-brainer to say that the meal in their Mumbai restaurant was also replete with Indian Accent signatures like the Copper Proper cocktail, Pulled Lamb Dumpling, Chhole Bhature with Pickled Green Chilli Peppers, Smoked Eggplant with Maple Plantain Chips and Daulat Ki Chaat. The actresses appeared to be dressed in relaxed outfits as all of them posed for pictures, while they giggled and joked with one another.

Glimpses of the feminine-powered dinner were shared by some of the ladies present at the occasion on their social media. Karisma Kapoor captioned the pictures, “Laughter and Love”, while Dia Mirza said, “Celebrating the spirit our tribe embodies. Another memorable evening of shared laughs and joy! Love each and every one of you. Thank you @azmishabana18 for always bringing us together. Thank you @indianaccentmumbai for the wholesome experience! We had the best time.”

The women were also seen playfully posing outside the restaurant after dinner for pictures and videos. Going by the sheer number of times the photos and videos were shared by some of the actresses, it can be said that this is not the first time the group had congregated to enjoy a meal, and meet up to socialise often with each other. The eleven women sure did give strong friendship goals as they were all smiles, as seen in the photographs.
