While you were busy sulking about your double chin, actress Karisma Kapoor yet again, walked into one of the cutest bakeries we have seen off late. The actress is a self-confessed foodie, and shares quite a deep penchant for desserts. A few days ago, she shared a story of how she loves cheesecakes for breakfast. The cheesecake she had was also topped with strawberries and whipped cream, and who wouldn’t like to start their day with such an indulgent treat. If you remember clearly, the actress baked a fair amount in the first lockdown and would also send out her homemade cakes to sister Kareena and friends from the industry like Malaika Arora. Being one of the fittest actors of the industry, Karisma Kapoor has shown us how sugar cannot be our worst enemy, provided we know how to moderate and balance out the calories with a proper diet and workout.
As per her own Instagram stories, the actress flew to Dubai on Friday afternoon. And then had to make some tough ‘decisions’ at Magnolia Bakery, a popular chain of New-York based patisserie that has now opened outlets across the world. 'Decisions, Decisions!?!’ she wrote in her caption as she gave us a glimpse of a wide array of desserts on display. From cheesecakes to red velvet pastries, chocolate pralines to trifle, the range would indeed put anyone in a dilemma. We feel you Karisma, we feel you.
With the weekend upon us, it can get a tad tough to keep the sugar cravings at bay, so here are three of our favourite dessert recipes that you must try over the weekend.
Lemon cheesecake bars: These mini, lemon cheesecake bars are light, creamy and mildly sweet. Ideal for those who are not fond of very sweet desserts. The lemon, with its tang, complements the sugar. You can top it with whipped cream.
Apple cream pie: Not your standard apple pie. This crispy dessert comes with the most delicious crust, perfectly glazed apple and to make the dessert more wholesome, we have whipped cream.
Chewy Brownie cookies: These cookies are dense, chocolatey and oh-so-chewy. These handmade cookies can also be given out as gifts. If you love indulgent cookies, you are sure to love these. Pair them with milk or cream, the choice is yours.
