The fact that Karisma Kapoor is a die-hard foodie is well known. The actress, popularly known by her endearing nickname Lolo, has always given us all food goals by constantly keeping us updated about her breakfasts while on vacation in London and lunches during weekdays. Keeping up with this trend of tantalizing our foodie hearts with her food posts on Instagram, Karisma Kapoor recently posted a story about indulging in a dish that looks simply heavenly.
While on a lunch date with friends Gayatri Daulet Singh and Sajjid Mitha, Karisma Kapoor shared a picture of the mutton dish she was loving to bits with her over 7 million followers on Instagram. “Divine mutton and Wonderful company,” the actress wrote in her story while tagging her friends and adding a “yum” GIF. The dish, though unnamed, was one made with shredded mutton and plenty of spices—so much so that the mutton was a deep shade of brown that we only come across in stir-fried or bhuna dishes.
What made the shredded mutton even more outstanding was the fact that it looked absolutely fiery and spicy, not only because of the colour of the dish but also thanks to the abundance of red chillies sticking out from it. We could also spot some onions and lettuce on the side along with some scrumptious looking tawa parathas.
This beautiful plate of food proves that Karisma Kapoor can really hold her spice and loves her food to bits. What’s more, the combination of shredded mutton with tawa parathas is also testament to her true-blue Punjabi roots, a region where ghee-loaded parathas are quite the staple. But while she clearly loves Mughlai or Punjabi food, Karisma Kapoor also loves eating light and healthy meals that are clearly European.
Just a day earlier, she shared a story about enjoying a plate of grilled fish, asparagus, potatoes and Brussels sprouts. We sincerely hope Karisma Kapoor continues sharing her meals with us this way, giving us food goals day in and day out. After all, isn’t this picture of the fiery mutton with tawa parathas making your foodie hearts flutter too?
