Celebrity couple Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck broke the internet over the weekend when they announced their marriage in Las Vegas. ‘Bennifer’ - as the couple is fondly referred to by their fans - got married on July 16, and since then people are going gaga over every marriage details. From the adorable couple pictures to photographs that show how fabulously fit and lovely Jennifer, who is turning 53 soon, looked in the dress, fans are taking note of all.

If you too, like us, are already wondering what keeps JLo in such great shape, we have some answers. Some searching got us five diet tips from Jennifer’s plan that, perhaps, make her the fitness inspiration for us, even today.

1. Minimum Processed Foods

Back in 2019, Dodd Romero, who is Jennifer’s life coach and personal trainer, shared some of her dietary choices with Us Weekly. He revealed that JLo prefers staying clear of processed foods and refined carbs and ‘gets her nutrients from whole sources’.

2. Drinks Lots Of Water

Romero also shared that JLo drinks a lot of water to stay hydrated. “She drinks a minimum of seven glasses a day,” he said. He also added that she started every morning with a glass of fresh lemon water. That is one key point that every expert emphasises repeatedly. Haven’t we all heard it from doctors whenever we fall sick, and just otherwise from nutritionists and dietitians as well?

3. Smoothie To Start With

According to a report in People, Jennifer Lopez starts her day with a wholesome smoothie for breakfast, of which she shared the exact recipe too. She whips up a Berry Berry Good smoothie which includes strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, Greek yoghurt, cinnamon, a tinge of lemon juice, honey, and cie cubes. Sounds amazing, doesn’t it?

 4. Protein Is Priority

Jennifer also goes big on proteins, according to Romero. Her protein sources include egg whites, white meat turkey, chicken breast, grass-fed beef, and fish. However, she only eats meat three to four times a week. Her plant-based sources include loads of nuts, which she eats ‘a handful’ a day.

5. Stocks Up On Healthy Foods

While opting for a diet is one thing, staying consistent with it is another. And JLo’s way of staying consistent with her diet is to keep her fridge stocked with all things healthy. According to JLo’s personal chef Kelvin Fernandez, her fridge and pantry is always stocked with ‘Sparkling water, fruits and vegetables, like strawberries, even though Jennifer is not a big fruit person’. Kelvin further told Us Weekly ‘there’s always greens like spinach, cucumber, and celery to make green juice; she loves starting her day with a green juice; eggs and turkey bacon are always the biggest ones.’

With that sort of a diet plan, it is of no surprise that Jennifer isn’t ageing at all. But choosing a diet plan and following one are two different things, and it seems like JLo is following it consistently. According to her chef, Jennifer is super strict with her diet. Here’s wishing the couple a happy married life!
