Here's one such recipe by Izzat Hussain who is not just a chef but also an Unani physician. Hussain is known for his Mughlai, Awadhi and Lucknowi cuisine. 

Chickpeas Burger petti or Vegetarian Shami Kabab.

Ingredients : 

  • 200. Grams boiled chic peas. 
  • 200grams boiled potatoes. 
  • Cran berry to infuse inside. 
  •  Salt to taste 
  • Black pepper powder 1/2 tea spoon 
  • Cumin powder 1/2 tea spoon 
  • Chat Masala 1/2 tea spoon. 
  • Corn flour for dusting. 
  • Oil to fry . 

Method 

  • *Take pre grounded chick peas and potatoes in mixing bowl mix well together. 
  • *Keep in the refrigerator for 30 minutes. 
  • *Now add black pepper and cumin powder along with chat masala. 
  • *Make small bowl of this dough ,
  • *Infuse some cran berry inside and make a flat petti. 
  • *Dust with corn flour. 
  • * Deep Fry in medium fire and serve with your desired dip or sous.
