Food lovers looking for a unique dining experience in Pune? Head straight to The Rail Coach restaurant outside Pune railway station. Started by the Central Railway’s Pune division, the second coach restaurant is meant to offer a fine-dining experience as well as takeaway meals for hungry diners. Built on a surface area of 100 square meters, the innovative concept restaurant is located next to Tadiwala Road circulating area.

Commencing operations in late November, the restaurant on wheels has collaborated with farsan giant, Haldirams to manage functioning and operations. The 24x7 service restaurant hopes to provide delicious, high quality meals for famished travellers as well as curious outsiders who wish to have a one-of-a-kind dining experience. The fully air-conditioned restaurant that houses a total of 10 tables, also has a takeaway counter for quick service, and is even accessible on various food delivery applications online.

Some of the specialties on offer at the eatery include chhole-bhature, pav bhaji, Raj kachori, thali meals, chaat, namkeen, soft drinks and hot beverages. Following the coach restaurant in Chinchwad, the new railway restaurant is the second of its kind to have opened up in Pune. Similar restaurants have been slated to open up in Akurdi, Baramati and Miraj, with the installation process underway at the moment. The interiors of the restaurant have been adorned in a way where diners feel a sense of warmth and comfort while enjoying their meals, taking back a memorable experience.
