Along with being delicious, custard apple is good for health, and one feels energized with its consumption. Furthermore, it also helps in repairing the digestive system. But, what if you have got raw custard apples at home? Fret not, as there's an option to ripen custard apple at home. This article will tell you four tips by which you can ripen raw custard apple within one to two days. These home-ripened custard apples will indeed taste better than the market ones.

Use carbide: The best way to ripe, raw mango, banana, papaya etc., is to use carbide. You can also use it for ripening the sharifa at home. For this: 

  1. First of all, wrap the custard apple well in some paper and close the mouth of the paper with tape. 
  2. After wrapping the paper, please put it in a carton or box.
  3. Keep a spoonful of carbide together.
  4. Leave the box covered with something.
  5. Raw custard apple will be ripened in one to two days.

Use rice: The easiest way to ripe sharifa naturally is to use rice. For this:

  1. First of all, wrap the custard in some paper. 
  2. After wrapping it in a paper, you keep it in the rice box. Next, press it into the rice 3-4 inches deep. 
  3. In about two days, the custard apple is ready to eat. 
  4. But, in the meantime, make sure that you do not open the rice box in which you are keeping the custard apple.

Use envelopes: Envelope is an easy way to ripe raw custard apple. For this:

  1. First, you can make a paper envelope or buy it from the market. 
  2. After this, put the sharifa in the envelope and stick the mouth of the envelope with some tape or gum. 
  3. Please keep it in a box or sack of rice and leave it for one to two days. 
  4. Then, in about 48 hours, sharifa is deliciously cooked and ready.

Ethylene is best: If you want to ripe raw custard quickly (in less than two days), use ethylene at home. But, first, let us tell you that the acid present in ethylene rapidly ripens any raw fruit. For this:

  1. Put grass at the bottom of a box and custard apple on top of it. 
  2. After keeping the sharifa, tie a spoonful of ethylene in a cotton cloth and keep it in any corner of the house. 
  3. With this, you can ripen the custard apple within two days.
