While some may argue about how originally pasta should taste like, according to us, food should be suited to our own taste buds rather than sticking to the recipe books. Pressure cooker is the best friend of students and working professionals who have very less time on their hands to cook a meal. Cookers are genuinely useful in making one pot meals that are quick, easy and more often than not, delicious. Let us look at a fuss-free pasta in a pressure cooker recipe that you can cook even if you are running short on time and have very basic ingredients lying in your kitchen. All you need is a good quality aluminium pressure cooker and you are ready to cook!

Ingredients 

  • 1 cup pasta of your choice 
  • 1 cup water 
  • 2 tablespoon butter 
  • 6-7 chopped garlic cloves 
  • 1 finely chopped onion 
  • 1 finely chopped capsicum 
  • 1 finely chopped tomato 
  • 2 green chillies 
  • 1 tablespoon pepper powder 
  • 1 tablespoon tomato ketchup 
  • ½ teaspoon soy sauce 
  • 1 tablespoon chili sauce 
  • Salt to taste 
  • Grated cheese

Method 

  • In a pressure cooker, add the butter and heat it up. 
  • Add the chopped garlic in it along with the green chilli and saute it for a minute. 
  • Next, add the onion and capsicum and cook till they become soft. 
  • Add all the sauces of your choice and cook for a couple of minutes on medium flame 
  • Now add the pasta along with the water and cook for a couple of more minutes. 
  • Close the lid of the pressure cooker and cook till two whistles on low to medium flame. 
  • Open the lid of the pressure cooker after it has cooled down and garnish it with grated cheese.
