Place the container in a sunny location where the chilli plants can receive at least 6-8 hours of direct sunlight every day. Water the seeds immediately after planting and keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged.

Step 6 Fertiliser The Plants

Once the seedlings have established and are about 4-6 inches tall, start fertilising them. Use a balanced Fertiliser formulated for vegetable plants and follow the package instructions for application rates. Fertilise the plants every 2-3 weeks to provide them with essential nutrients.
