A soft flatbread is rolled around a filling to create the dish known as a wrap. The typical flatbreads are made of wheat tortillas, lavash, or pita; the filling may be composed of cold slices of meat, chicken, or fish, lettuce shredded, diced tomato or pico de gallo, guacamole, sauteed mushrooms, bacon, grilled onions, cheese, and a dipping sauce like ranch or honey mustard. Sometimes wraps can be unhealthy because of the flatbread we choose. This can be prevented by replacing a flatbread with some lettuce. This not only will make it healthy but crunchy and fresh too! Because lettuce has so few calories, it can aid in weight loss. Additionally, it is abundant in fibre and water, which are known to keep you full for a long time and discourage overeating. Due to its minimal fat level, lettuce is also perfect for people who are trying to lose weight.

Ingredients

1. Chinese BBQ sauce (Hoisin)

2. Soy sauce

3. oil

4. ground chicken

5. carrot

6. garlic

7. green onions

8. lettuce

Method

1. Hoisin sauce and soy sauce are combined with some water. Leave this alone.

2 Add the chicken to a skillet that has some of the oil already heated. Cook it, breaking it up as you go, until it is browned.

3. Cook the carrots for a few minutes, stirring occasionally, with the remaining oil.

4. Add the garlic and onion whites, and sauté for an additional minute.

5. Reserve the hoisin sauce mixture.

6. Continue to stir and simmer until the mixture has slightly thickened. You can eat the mixture in lettuce leaves.

Tips

1. The filling can be prepared in advance and cooked just before serving. If it dries out, though, you might need to add more liquid.

2. The filling can also be made in excess and frozen. In order to make quick lunches out of any leftovers (assuming there are any! ), I like to freeze them in individual serving sizes.

3. Refrigerator storage is required for leftovers. They ought to keep for approximately 3 days in the fridge.
