We often see our mothers forcing us to have a glass of milk as it is packed with calcium. Calcium is just not important for bones but for overall health. Almost every single cell in the body uses calcium in some or the other way. Our bones store calcium in addition to providing support for our bodies. But as we age, we tend to absorb less and less calcium from our diet. Calcium deficiency can be extremely harmful to the body.

We all know that the human body needs calcium to build and maintain strong bones. Besides, it is also necessary for maintaining healthy communication between the brain and other parts of the body. Also, it plays a key role in muscle movement and cardiovascular function.

We may have options like milk, curd, cheese, and other dairy products to prevent the deficiency of calcium. You may be wondering what to do for calcium for a plant-based diet.
