Chocolate Hummus

A chocolate dip for fruits and pretzels is a perfect and healthy dip for choco lovers.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup chickpeas (boiled)
  • ¼ cup tahini
  • ¼ cup maple syrup
  • ½ cup cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ¼ tsp kosher salt

Instructions to make chocolate hummus:

  1. Take a jar/ bowl of a food processor, add chickpeas, tahini, maple syrup, cocoa powder, vanilla extract, kosher salt, and 2 tbsp of water.
  2. Puree them for 30-60 seconds, from low to high and reverse.
  3. Convert this in a creamy consistency.

Pumpkin Hummus

Try this twisted Indian version of hummus with pumpkin, chili powder, tabasco sauce, and rosemary strings.

Ingredients :

  • 2 cups chickpeas (boiled)
  • 200-gram pumpkin
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • ½ tsp cumin powder
  • 2 tsp tabasco sauce
  • Salt to taste

For topping:

  • Red chili powder
  • Olive oil
  • rosemary strings

Instructions to make pumpkin hummus:

  1. Take the pumpkin slice skin off, oil it, and roast it in an oven or gas for 15 minutes.
  2. In a food blender, add chickpeas and garlic, puree it till you get a smooth thick paste. Add little water if you find this dry.
  3. In a paste, add roasted pumpkin, cumin powder, tabasco sauce, olive oil, salt, and blend again till all these ingredients smoothen.
  4. Transfer the dip to a bowl, drop lemon juice, mix well and rosemary strings over it.

Your pumpkin hummus is ready; serve it with pita or garlic bread.
