Indian vegetarian breakfast recipes for weight loss

Semolina and oatmeal cheela

Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon coriander leaves finely chopped
  • 1 medium-size onion finely chopped
  • 2 green chillies finely chopped
  • 1 tsp amchur powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1/2 cup oatmeal
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric
  • 1 cup semolina
  • 1/2 cup curd
  • 1/2 cup water
  • Salt to taste

Method:

  1. First of all, in a vessel, soak the oatmeal in water for an hour.
  2. Soak semolina in curd for 1 hour in another vessel.
  3. Now filter the oatmeal water, keep it aside, and mix the oatmeal in the curd-semolina mixture.
  4. Now finely chop the onion, coriander leaves, chilli and add to the mixture.
  5. After this, add spices and salt to the mix.
  6. Then add water as required and prepare the solution.
  7. After this, put the non-stick tawa on the gas and apply ghee or oil to it.
  8. Now pour the mixture into it. Simmer the flame while pouring the solution.
  9. After this, cook the cheela on medium flame.
  10. You can serve this weight loss cheela with green chutney.

  • 1 medium-sized carrot finely chopped
  • 1 large size tomato finely chopped
  • 1 large size onion finely chopped
  • 2 green chillies finely chopped
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1/2 cup besan
  • 1/2 cup oats
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 cup water

Method:

  1. First of all, grind oats and make powder.
  2. Next, take a bowl to prepare the batter by adding oats and gram flour.
  3. Add onion, tomato, turmeric, salt, green chilli and carrot to this solution.
  4. Now take a non-stick tava (griddle) and heat it. Put some oil on the pan.
  5. Now put water on the pan, wipe it and then pour the batter of cheela.
  6. Make cheela by rolling the batter in circular motions on the pan.
  7. When the cheela becomes golden, serve it hot with mint chutney.

Quinoa cheela

Ingredients:

  1. 1 tablespoon green coriander finely chopped
  2. 1 medium-size onion finely chopped
  3. 2 green chillies finely chopped
  4. 1 cup cucumber grated
  5. 1/2 cup semolina
  6. 1/2 cup quinoa
  7. 1/2 cup water
  8. 1/2 cup curd
  9. Salt to taste

Method:

  1. First, wash the quinoa 3 to 4 times to remove bitterness.
  2. After that, grate the cucumber.
  3. In curd, soak the semolina for 1 hour.
  4. Finely chop the green chilli, coriander and onion.
  5. Now grind the quinoa in a mixer and prepare a paste.
  6. Add this paste to the curd-semolina mixture with the rest of the ingredients and salt in the solution.
  7. Now put a non-stick tava (griddle) on the gas and heat it on low flame.
  8. Then pour the batter on the pan and spread it in a round shape.
  9. Roast the cheela on low flame and serve it with hot green chutney.
