Many types are often used as natural remedies to promote relaxation and sleep. Often, they are made with herbs that affect specific neurotransmitters to potentially improve sleep quality, decrease stress and anxiety, and help you fall asleep faster. It is best to consult a doctor before adding herbal tea to your daily diet”.

Ashwagandha Tea

Ashwagandha is known for its adaptogenic properties, which means it may help the body adapt to stress and reduce stress-related symptoms. Some studies suggest that Ashwagandha may help improve the quality of sleep by promoting deeper, more restful sleep cycles. To make ashwagandha tea, add a teaspoon of Ashwagandha root or powder to a cup of hot water and let it steep for at least 10 to 15 minutes. Then, strain the tea, and add honey or other herbs for flavor if desired.

Lemon Balm Tea

Lemon balm is an herb that has been traditionally used for its calming and soothing properties, and it's often considered a mild herbal remedy for sleep and relaxation. Consuming lemon balm tea before bedtime may help calm the mind and reduce anxiety, making it easier to fall asleep. Studies claim that lemon balm tea can help in achieving deeper and more restful sleep. To make lemon balm tea, add 1 to 2 teaspoons of dried lemon balm leaves or a lemon balm tea bag to a cup of hot water. Allow the tea to steep for about 5-10 minutes.

Chamomile Tea

Chamomile tea is a popular herbal remedy often used to promote better sleep and relaxation. It has a long history of traditional use for its calming and soothing properties, and some scientific studies suggest that it may have mild sleep-inducing effects. Chamomile contains antioxidants and certain compounds (like apigenin) that may have mild sedative and anxiolytic (anxiety-reducing) effects.
