You might easily associate legendary Argentinian football player, Lionel Messi, with the beautiful game and Argentinian food. However, Messi, who is all set to make his Major League Soccer entrance with Inter Miami CF, is now in the news because of a sandwich he created. Messi has partnered with Hard Rock International to create something called the Messi Chicken Sandwich, and the dish is naturally going viral.

Hard Rock has launched the Messi Chicken Sandwich just in time for Messi’s entry into American soccer, and the footballer’s signature dish is actually inspired by some of his fondest childhood memories. "I'm thrilled to bring the flavors of my home country to the world with the launch of my very own chicken sandwich, inspired by one of my favorite dishes, the Milanesa," Messi said in a news release.

According to the same news release, the Messi Chicken Sandwich combines the flavours of what Messi calls "one of my childhood favorites that still makes me feel at home, wherever in the world I am” with elements that make sandwiches and burgers from Hard Rock International stand out. Prepared with Milanese-style chicken breast, melted Provelone cheese, a herb aioli, fresh tomatoes, arugula and toasted artisanal buns, this Messi Chicken sandwich has people all over the world drooling.

"Leo Messi is not just one of the greatest athletes and cultural icons on the planet, he's also an ambassador who aligns very closely with our values as an organization," said Jim Allen, chairman of Hard Rock International in the release. The Messi Chicken Sandwich is now available at Hard Rock Café locations and hotels across the US, and will hopefully reach India’s Hard Rock Café branches too.
