With the festival season around the corner, these pop-ups increase in numbers and offer opportunities for foodies to explore a variety of cuisines without leaving their city. Before September 2024 ends, there are a few food festivals that you must explore in Delhi-NCR for a gastronomic experience.
Sake Soiree Pop-Up
If you are a true blue bibulous who takes pride in trying alcoholic beverages across the globe, Sare Soiree pop-up at MKT, The Chanakya, where you will be transported to sake breweries of Kyoto and izakayas of Tokoyo, Japan. Head Mixologist Sanjay Rawat and Chef Rinki Saha curated a perfect menu in which aromatic dishes are paired with premium sake cocktails. A few picks from the menu include tebasaki wings, salmon tartare, shrimp karaage, schichimi, sake kukuteru, etc. It will end on September 30, 2024.
Taste Of Uttarakhand
If you are still trying to explore the regional cuisines of India, there is no better festival than Taste Of Uttarakhand at The Park Hotel, Connaught Place. While you might be living in the capital of India, a bite of food at this pop-up will instantly take you to the mountains. It celebrates the cuisines of Uttarakhand and indigenous ingredients that make dishes wholesome. A few must-try at this festival include lingda sabzi, bhatt ki churkani, jangli murg, palak ka kappa, and more. The pop-up will culminate on September 30, 2024.
Korean Thanksgiving Food Festival
For K-drama fans, the Korean Thanksgiving festival at Pan Asian Restaurant, Holiday Inn, Mayur Vihar, is a must-attend from September 13 to October 13, 2024. It celebrates Chuseok, also referred to as Hangawi which is a mid-autumn harvest festival. Chef Lee from South Korea has curated a special menu for this pop-up where you can savour ddeokbakki, bibimbab, taraegua, gujeol pan, and kkanppong.
The Naga Food Festival
If you have been missing out on the bold and unique flavours of Naga cuisine, The Naga Food Festival at The Qube, The Leela Palace, Chanakyapuri, is where you can try one-of-a-kind food. Chef Karen Yepthomi, Founder and Head Chef of Dzukou Tribal Kitchen, has created a distinct menu featuring dishes like chicken amrusu, smoked pork, fish in bamboo shoots, black turtle bean salad, and akibiye taro roots in mustard seeds. It will continue till October 1, 2024.
Jalsa E-Punjab
Foodies cannot skip savouring Punjabi food at Jalsa E-Punjab, Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Lodhi Road. The festival not only celebrates the lip-smacking food from the state but also the rich culture of Punjab. Sufi music complementing a mouth-watering spread is a perfect way to enjoy this weekend. From September 28, 2024, gastronomes can relish dishes like sarson ka saag, dal makhani, butter chicken, and many other delights. Would you want to miss this?
