Though this was purely out of necessity, the early vodkas were always flavourful. Flavoured vodkas have only recently gained popularity. During the 14th and 15th centuries, when commercial distillation first began, the process was undoubtedly primitive due to the lack of ability to purify the spirit, which required the use of spices and herbs to cover up unwanted impurities. These days, a wide variety of tastes are used to make vodka, such as marmalade, toffee, horseradish, and espresso.

A variety of vodka-based liqueurs have emerged, with sweet and sticky tastes that are very much in style, as a result of modern palates being much sweeter than in the past. A popular choice is toffee vodka, which is consumed worldwide by well-known brands like Thunder Toffee and Toffoc. Go on reading!

Top 8 Flavoured Vodka Brands

Humboldt’s Finest Hemp-Infused Vodka

The hemp seeds that make Humboldt County, the home of this vodka, so famous, are incorporated into the vodka after it has been distilled from organic sugar cane farmed in California. This floral vodka tastes fantastic in Martinis and Gibsons, thanks to its overtones of pine and basil. If you choose to drink it neat, it will entice you back for more because of its earthy aroma and smooth, satisfying mouthfeel. You may even cool it and enjoy it that way.

44º North Huckleberry Vodka

Everyone enjoys this Idaho bottle of berry-flavoured vodka despite the overwhelming sweetness of berry-flavoured vodkas. It tastes naturally infused and is somewhat tangy and sweet, similar to blueberries. Added smooth body from a Russet and Burbank potato foundation. Everyone should try it since it tastes so nice with just a hint of lemon.

Smoke Lab Aniseed

This five-times-distilled Indian vodka is made in a certified carbon-neutral facility and has a rich, sweet taste enhanced by anise. Its base, basmati rice, which gives it a creamy body, comes from the foot of the Himalayan mountain range. It tastes like aquavit. It infuses a traditional Moscow Mule with layers of herbal flavour as well.

Ketel One Cucumber & Mint

This Ketel One expression is smooth and friendly, with just 60 proof and a crisp, energetic flavour that comes from using only natural cucumber and mint essences without any additions. Put another way, if you're searching for a flavour that's light and fresh from the garden, this is the ideal spirit for the summer. A simple syrup (same parts dissolved sugar and water), vodka, soda water, a dash of lemon juice, and a Collins-style drink are some of the simplest ways to use this bottle. It is easy and refreshing.

Hanson of Sonoma Organic Habanero Vodka

Beautiful, straightforward flavours are produced by the family-run Sonoma distillery, Hanson. It's savoury and wonderful, the habanero. This Sonoma County-made vodka has seven more types of organic, locally grown habaneros incorporated into it, as well as a hint of lemongrass for a spicy aftertaste. It's great to add to a Bloody Mary to bring out the flavour of the tomato juice and to amp up the heat from the horseradish and Tabasco. It also creates a magnificent Bloody Bull if you add a shot of beef broth to the cocktail.

Effen Blood Orange

It is a stunning depiction of one of my preferred citrus fruits. Punchy orange and vanilla aromas abound in this Effen rendition, which is distilled in the Netherlands using French wheat and infected with the acidic, sweet eponymous fruit. Blood oranges are a winter fruit, but you can use fresh frozen purées any time of year to combine this flavoured vodka with the natural juice of the fruit. For a fantastic fizz, try it with some sparkling wine or club soda.

Belvedere Ginger Zest Vodka

Thoughtful, if a little dry. It tastes well in rich fall cocktails where the tart yet sweet ginger complements the flavours of pears or apples. It works well in a Moscow Mule as well, enhancing the lime's acidic snap and kicking up the ginger beer's spice. But this spirit goes beyond zing alone. It is made from Polish rye and is infused with Chinese ginger, Spanish lemons, and South African grapefruit. It is somewhat zesty, but it also has a round body and a silky finish that gives it a contrasting mellowness.

Ciroc Peach

It is difficult to have a flavour that is neither overpowering nor fake. It helps that the base spirit, distilled from grapes and produced in France, has just the right amount of fruitiness to balance out the peach infusion. Among flavoured vodkas, it has the tiniest hint. Flavourful by nature and incredibly smooth. This alcohol pairs well with Champagne for a Bellini or can be enjoyed on its own over ice in addition to improving fruit-forward cocktails like Cobblers.
