When you hear the news about Elon Musk launching a new product through his multinational automotive company, Tesla, you immediately think of an electric car or automobile, right? But, surprising people around the world, Elon Musk has recently launched something called Tesla CyberBeer, a bottle set of limited-edition beer. And if that weren’t enough, this CyberBeer is also quite expensive, released only in North America, and was sold out in mere days!
The Tesla CyberBeer, according to the website of the automotive company run by Elon Musk, was launched to celebrate the CyberTruck—an electric car by Tesla that is yet to be launched, but is much-awaited thanks to its utilitarian design paired with the performance levels of a sports car. The shape of the CyberBeer bottles is inspired by the “angular exoskeleton” of the CyberTruck. Its taste, however, is inspired by German beer.

CyberBeer’s contents are, as per Tesla, inspired by the flavours of Helles Lager, European Noble Hops Saaz and Hallertau Mittlefruh. “Accentuated by notes of herb and spice and more notable aromas of tea and citrus, each bottle features a gloss black sleeve with a CyberBeer watermark (that looks even better chilled),” the description of the product read. The beer is brewed and bottled in the CyberTruck-inspired bottles by California’s Buzzrock Brewing Company.
The CyberBeer set, priced at $150 (Rs 12,485 approximately), includes two black and sleek bottles of beer and two matte black ceramic beer steins. The beer, as mentioned before, was launched only in North America. However, if you are hoping to get your hands on CyberBeer, you’ll either have to bid for resale or wait for more bottles to be released as within days of coming on sale on the Tesla online shop, the sets were sold out and went out of stock.
In fact, industry experts now believe that CyberBeer sets have now transitioned into collector’s items and it is quite likely that their value has since increased. A good example here is Tesla’s limited edition Teslaquilla, an anejo tequila sold in lightning bolt-shaped bottles. Sold out within a few hours of release, the Teslaquilla is now reselling for a whopping $900 and above!
CyberBeer is not the first beer variety launched by Elon Musk’s Tesla. Earlier this year, Tesla launched the limited-edition GigaBier, a German pilsner that was released in parts of Europe to celebrate the opening of the company’s Gigafactory in Berlin, Germany. Valued at $97, the three-pack set of GigaBier was not shipped to the US, which is primarily why Tesla decided to launch CyberBeer for Americans. CyberBeer is expected to start shipping across the world by the end of October.
