1. Fry Parwal Aloo

It is the most common dish in any household. You simply need to heat some oil in a pan and add the cumin seeds, parwal, and potatoes along with salt, turmeric, and chilli powder. Stir-fry the vegetables on medium heat until they become soft and slightly crunchy. You can add chopped coriander leaves and some lemon juice to make it more tasty. 2. Parwal Masala Curry

Parwal Masala Curry is a delicious and spicy dish with parwal in a tomato-based masala. To prepare this curry, prepare a base similar to other curries with garlic-ginger paste, onions, and tomatoes. Add spices and parwal to soften and cook them.

For filling, you can add minced chicken, eggs or prawns for non-vegetarian options, and for vegetarian options, you can simply add potatoes or masala stuffing of choice or paneer. 

You simply need to preheat a pan with a little oil and fry them before putting them into gravy. These are steamed or fried before putting them into the gravy. The gravy is made with ghee and is tomato based. The parwal is then heated over the gravy until it is soft. Chopped coriander is then added as a garnish and served hot. 

4. Parwal Moong Dal

Parwal moong dal is a popular Bengali favourite. This dish goes great with hot rice and ghee on a rainy day. To make it, cook moong dal with turmeric and salt till tender. Then, stir fry parwal, onions, and ginger-garlic paste in a different pan and add the cooked daal. Simply temper with a choice of spice, and the dish is done. Parwal Bharta is a smoky and spicy dish made by mashing roasted parwal with a combination of spices and mustard oil. You can either roast the parwal directly on heat or boil them and fry them slightly. Take some fried garlic, green chillies, and onions along with parwal, tomatoes, and spices like turmeric, chilli powder, and cumin; mix well on the heat. Once done, add lemon juice and mustard oil to finish. It goes very well with rice.
