Indian festivities and sweets go hand in hand. Can you imagine a festival without sweets? No. Not even just festivals, even the smallest of the happy occasions in our life calls for something meetha. Diwali is almost here, and all sweet shops are decked up to offer some of the delicious desserts that you might be waiting to have the entire year.

There are so many desserts that are staples to this festival. Along with soan papdi and kaju katli of course, there is gulab jamun, rasmalai, and besan ke ladoo. Besan ke ladoo needs no introduction. These ladoos spell indulgence in every bite and can take away all your sorrows. Almost every single person can make besan ke ladoo but not everyone makes it perfectly. Right from roasting the besan properly to adding the right amount of sugar, the besan ka ladoo-making process needs much patience and attention. And why not, it deserves so.
