How to introduce Microgreens in your diet? 

Microgreens can be substituted in place of regular green vegetables in salads or can be used as a garnish on soups, pizzas and curries. Apart from that you can juice them in smoothies or incorporate them in sandwiches or wraps as well.

How to grow microgreens at home?

You can most certainly buy microgreens from a local grocery store or farmer’s market and they’re often expensive, so people prefer to grow these at home. It ensures a check on quality and quantity and obviously, they’ll be much cheaper.

You’ll need

Microgreen Seeds

Rectangular container filled with soil and manure

Proper lightning - either sunlight or UV light for 10-12 hours

Instructions


Place the seeds in the container and lightly water them. Cover the container with a plastic lid, and allow it to germinate. Once you notice the seeds have germinated, remove the lid and expose it to sunlight.

In 7-10 days, the seeds will have sprouted and are ready to use.

Wash them and use them in your recipes.
