However, this doesn't mean that people with diabetes cannot enjoy and snacks this season. Method

  1. Take a bowl and add 1/2 cups of almond flour, 3/4 cup of peanut butter, 7-8 pitted dates and mix up them in a grinder or food processor.
  2. Put the mixture in a tart mould and spread it very well.
  3. Please keep it in a deep fridge for about 20 to 30 minutes.
  4. Add 1 cup of plain yoghurt in a separate bowl.
  5. Add 1 tsp rose essence, 4-5 cashews and almonds. Finally, add 1-2 tsp of stevia and some fresh fruits of your choice.
  6. Take the tart shells out of the fridge and add the freshly made yoghurt on top of the tart shell. Top it up with some fruits after that.
  7. Keep in the fridge for 30 minutes and serve chilled.

Brown rice kheer recipe created Shaheen Nadiadwala and BeatO

In the festive season, kheer is considered one of the popular desserts. Do you know why? Because it is delicious, easy to make and with a dash of saffron and cardamom, it can get a festive touch in a jiffy. This unique pudding has brown rice cooked in cashew-almond milk with roasted raisins, nuts and cardamom. Try your hands on this gluten-free recipe.

Method

  1. Take one bowl of rice.
  2. Soak into the water for 5-6 hrs
  3. Warm two tablespoons of ghee, and gently fry the dry fruits and nuts in a pan.
  4. Using another pot, heat 1 litre of milk. Add the washed and absorbed rice to the milk.
  5. Cook on a medium flame for approximately 8-10 minutes
  6. Add elaichi and jaggery powder in the Kheer; then add dry fruits and cook until the consistency of the milk becomes thick.
  7. Serve the brown rice kheer chilled or warm.
