And now, with a recent post he shared on social media, Deepinder Goyal has also become an health inspiration for all those foodies who are on a weight loss journey. How? According to the post he shared on Instagram, it appears that Deepinder Goyal has lost 15 kilos in four years.

In the post, Deepinder Goyal has shared a photo from 2019 alongside one taken this year, in 2023—and the difference, at least superficially, is quite visible. In a second image on the post, the 40-year-old proved that his weight loss was not a drastic or unhealthy one. These referred to two notes, one from 2019 and another from 2023, which compared in-depth health parameters like low-density lipoprotein cholesterol, triglycerides, high-density lipoprotein cholesterol, hBA1C (blood glucose levels) and body fat percentage.

A closer look shows that Deepinder Goyal has not only lost 15 kilos of weight, but also improved on all these vital health parameters in the span of four years. “A glance into my personal fitness journey – In 2019, a few months before the pandemic, I started treating my health as an equal priority to my work. Nothing extreme but just maintained consistency. Highlight of 2019 vs 2023 results,” he wrote on Instagram.

In an associated blog post, Deepinder Goyal also mentioned that when he started his weight loss journey, she started by tracking her carbohydrates intake and focused on eating a healthy diet rather than depriving himself of all foods. He revealed that of course he ordered his healthy meals from Zomato because Indian home-cooked food tends to be dominated by carbs. Along with that, he also worked out regularly.

Does this mean he stayed away from Indian meals and favourites altogether? Of course not. Deepinder Goyal reveals that his favourite cheat meals were chole bhature and butter chicken, but he only indulged in these cheat meals on the weekends. His entire focus was on being consistent with his healthy eating habits and prioritising fitness over everything else.

Deepinder Goyal also highlighted the fact that his journey is not his alone and all the members of his company are also encouraged to follow an active lifestyle. In the blog post, he also emphasised that Zomato’s Gurgaon headquarters not only has an in-house gym but also a mental health team. He also shared that the Gurgaon office now also has a Chief Fitness Officer or CFO, who will work with an in-house team of wellness trainers, nutritionists and wellbeing counsellors.
