Yes, don’t get shocked. You can actually make poha in an electric kettle in just a few minutes. You can start by adding chopped onions, chopped green chilies, frozen peas, roasted peanuts, 1 cup water, oil or butter, salt and pepper powder. Turn on the kettle and let it come to a boil. Open the kettle and add chili flakes. Then, add poha and let it stay for some time. After two minutes, your poha will be ready.
Pulao
Pulao in a kettle? Yes, it is possible. Take an electric kettle and add little oil or butter in it. Add jeera and switch on the kettle. Then, after the jeera starts to splutter, add water, soaked rice, soaked soya chunks, peas, ginger-garlic paste, salt and garam masala. Turn on the kettle. The kettle would turn off after a few minutes. Turn it on again and repeat the same until the rice has absorbed the water. When done, turn off the kettle and let it stay like that for 5 minutes. Your pulao is ready!!
Red Sauce Pasta
You can also make an exotic red sauce pasta in a kettle. Take pasta and add it to the kettle. Add water, pasta sauce, salt, pepper and let it come to a boil. Keep stirring in the intervals. After a few minutes, add chopped capsicum, a little milk, tomato puree and chili flakes to the cooked pasta. Let it cook for one more minute. Stir well and serve.
Masala Oats
You can make this healthy breakfast in less than 15 minutes using an electric kettle. Add butter, chopped onions, carrots, green chilies and tomatoes. Add water and let it boil in the kettle for 2 to 3 minutes. After its done, stir well and cook it for more 2 minutes. When the kettle turns off on its own, add water, salt to taste and bring it to a boil. Then, add oats and give it a mix. Cook for 1 more minute and allow it to stand for 3 to 5 minutes. Your masala oats are ready!!
