Accompanied by her friends Gaurav Gianani and Chef Tejasvi Chandela, who is a pastry chef at Dzurt Patisserie (cafe in Jaipur), Dhondy went for a morning walk in the old city. Here is all she savoured in the Pink City.

Churro

Chef Anahita Dhondy suggested everyone try churros at Dzurt Patisserie, located in Hari Mahal Palace. It was served with chocolate sauce on the side and came topped with sliced strawberries. Belong to Spanish and Portuguese cuisine, churros are nothing but choux pastry dough deep fried into looking like extra crispy French fries. If you are looking to visit this cafe, do try their madeleines, customised cakes, salted caramel and hazelnut petit gateaux, and tarts.

Rabri Faluda

Next on the food map of Chef Anahita Dhondy Bhandari was rabri faluda, a traditional North Indian dessert. It is made by using kulfi, falooda, and rabri (thickened milk). It is quite famous in Jaipur, and if you are exploring the city, you should try it at Indian Kulfi Faluda, Brijwasi Falooda Ice-Cream, Shree Shyam Rabri Faluda Center, and Indian Ice Cream and Kulfi Faluda.

Paratha Sabji

No matter who you are, dhaba-style paratha sabji served with pickle and chutney is a classic North Indian savoury. Wherever the chef went, she also ordered fruit custard made by mixing custard powder, milk, and chopped fruits. You can try a few places in the city that are famous for serving delicious stuffed paratha. The list includes Jaipur Paratha Company, Paratha Corner, Shreeji Parathe Wala, and Samrat Restaurant.

Kachori And Chaat

The last on the gastronomical trip of Chef Anahita Dhondy was tea paired with dal kachori and samosa chaat. Dal kachori is made by filling the dough with a spiced moong dal mixture, and samosa chaat is prepared by spreading chutneys over roughly pulled-apart samosa. It is a regular breakfast and snack option in the Pink City. The best places to try kachori in Jaipur include Rawat Mishthan Bhandar, Lala ji Pakodi Wale, Gopi Kachori Wala, and Shankar Samosa.
